In short: Well organised local fun run
In full: A scenic course through very pleasant countryside and woods. It could have been very muddy if conditions had not been bone dry as they were today. Very well marshalled, but it needed to be given the twisty course.

The 300 or so competitors appeared to be mainly local parents of the school, so not a fast field. I believe times were taken, but I am not clear whether they were published or not.

In short: They were no kidding about parking being difficult. A country / town run with undulations. I would not like it on hot or wet day.
In full: I thought I was never going to find a place to park but the up slope 1k back to the start perhaps did me good? Priced at £1/K it was not wonderful value but it was well marshalled and they stopped the traffic for the first bit along the "main" road. The course was along byways - mind the trotting horses - footpaths parks and quiet roads. Philistine that I am even I enjoyed the scenery more so than I enjoyed some of the longer slopes up to 5/6k. I like flat cos I am fat(ish)!
The large detached houses in this area make me think that the locals would regard the entry fee a bargain ( and it is for a cause) but I probably will not do it again at this price unless they at least get a clock and record the results on a web site.
Nice start to the morning though
