In short: This just might be the event to get me back racing
In full: Having not run all week, and needing to get out Sunday…thought late Saturday evening running along with a few 100 others would be more enjoyable than running alone, especially when I saw on the day registration was available at a reasonable price with T shirt thrown in too…but as I drove over Buxton Road and noticed marshals putting signs out near Roaches, thought maybe this wasn’t such a good idea. Having not done a road race of any description for over 3 years or the mileage to race successfully over 13.1 miles…I knew it was going to hurt. Pleased to get back in under the 1 hour 30 mins Defiantly want to do this race again and knock a few minutes off….this event as certainly had a positive effect….as I search out my next race…thanks to Staff Moorlands for a smashing little event

In short: ouch!
In full: Yes the hills were a killer and the down hills were as bad as the climbs but it was definitely worth it, great changing facilities, no toilet queues, a fab T shirt and enough pain the next day to really feel like you've worked hard! Will definitely be back next year.

In short: Even with warning I forgot my T-Shirt!
In full: I thought parking would be better. I know the area but couldn't park until 15 mins to go!. Very enjoyable. Friendly. Not run for ages (months) and still kept it steady and go 1.43, happy!

In short: I certainly know I've been in a race after today but what a cracking course
In full: Ideal weather, and the tough undulating course was well worth the effort for the Magnificent views over the staffs moorlands.
