In short: Very enjoyable.
In full: Today was the second time I completed this race and found it very enjoyable. It was organised well with plenty of marshalls and water station. The children handing out the drinks on the daedalus airfield were very encouraging! It was also to have so much support from the local community with people calling out from their homes along the seafront. Overall a great day and a nice piece of cake in the goody bag at the end! It was also a PB for me so even better!

In short: Flat charge through post-industrial landscape before hitting the Solent with views of the Isle of White.
In full: Good stuff: Organisation superb, lots of water on the route, flat course, free jelly babies handed out by marshals, superb samba band popping up in the middle of nowhere, route that passes a huge decommissioned Hoverspeed hovercraft rusting aslump its flabby rubber skirt.

Room for improvement (= nit picking): I personally don't like running on pavements where people's drives cause irregular dips; get there early to park near the HQ, medal a bit plain.

In short: Superb Organisation, loads of support, loads of marshals and plenty of water.
In full: Great Race - not the most picturesque, but no less interesting than the GSR. Like the GSR not one for bad weather, so glad the 2011 Race was run in good weather.
The organisation was superb. The PB potential is high. All in all a really great run. Nice Goody bag & medal, but particularly like the reduced entrance fee with the option of buying different types/styles of t-shirts with runners' names on the back.

In short: Excellent
In full: This was my first time doing this race and to be honest I expected to hate it when someone told me about the laps around Daedalus - usually a plodders nightmare! But actually I really enjoyed it! The whole thing was brill from start to finsh. Parking easy, race HQ good (plenty of loos!), chip timing great, marshalls FANTASTIC the whole way round, Samba band was brilliant, plenty of water stops (& sweeties), medal is lovely and goody bag is the best I've had at any race - really enjoyed my cake thanks! :-) I did also get a PB, not that it's really about the finishing time for me, but it's still satisfying all the same. The only thing I did wonder if is the laps would be a problem for all the speed demons - the poor lead runners had to dart in and out of all us holding up the rear on the second lap of the airfield, although I guess since the winner still got round in 1:06 or something ridiculous it didn't slow him down too much!
Thanks for organising a great race Gosport - see you next year!!

In short: Great value, Brilliant organisation and some thoughtful touches like the Goody bag
In full: At £14 for affilated runners (which includes chip timing) this race puts a lot of others to shame as Gosport RR were able to get the course efficiently marshaled with plenty of water and a Haribo stop ! Very enthusiastic marshals and a Samba band. Thoughtful goody bag which came in Club emblazoned canvas. The baggage store was very efficient and I couldn't fault the whole day. Thank you.

In short: Fast, flat (mostly) and excellent organisation - thanks
In full: Last ran this in 2008 and it's great to see how the organisers have gone out of their way to sort out the little bits that didn't quite work to make this years run so fantastic. Marshalling was great and I loved the band in the base to spur us on. If the organiser had a magic wand my only request would be to pop a slight downhill in along the promenade bit and provide a bit of a following tailwind...?! Great race Gosport, see you next time.
