In short: Wow - Believe the hype! Brilliant Race!
In full: 1st time doing it, the vastness of the sand in the middle of the bay is breathtaking, take time to look around while doing this race. Great organisation and happy atmosphere all round!! Crossing the rivers was tough but strangely enjoyable on a hot day! See ya next year!

In short: one of a kind!!
In full: i started running when i first got to the uk, done the gnr twice and some other fell races, but after reading the reviews from last year i knew i had to do this race. amazing run, it's a unique feeling entering the bay and feeling its vastness!! luckly the sand was hard and running was not as thought as i first thought. very friendly staff and organisers.

In short: Enjoyed every minute - except when it started hurting!
In full: Fantastic race - I can't think of any way in which it could be improved. Even the river crossing was lovely; it refreshed me and gave me chance to catch my breath. A very special race - reminds of the old Peak Marathon (though that was much, much harder!).

In short: Sandy and wet but great fun!
In full: As a slow runner i'm always worried entering new races but the friendly atmosphere and general attitude from everyone that it was great just to get round meant i needn't have worried here.

Good organisation from start to finish and the route was well marked considering the surroundings!

The fun of bounding through water, and wading through water, meant the miles seemed to fly by even at my pace. The good weather also meant the sea water was quite refreshing and nice.

Enjoyed everything about the day, got round a little quicker than expected and would love to come back again, and hopefully rope some fellow runners from the north east along too.

Thank you to all involved!

In short: Lots of fun
In full: Living in the village where the race ends means this was my home event and it did not disappoint in any way. Cheerful camaraderie amongst the competitors and glorious views coupled with first class organisation resulted in a great race. Big thanks to all the people out on the sands who ensured our safety.

In short: Fantastic Day
In full: I really enjoyed this race. I started of at a nice steady pace as I was not sure what to expect of a race run on sand. Maintained the pace throughout and was elated to finish in 2hrs and 7 mins. Loved having the open space, and to watch the runners snaking across the sand ahead. Would definetly recommend.
