In short: A thorougly enjoyable and runner-friendly event
In full: A very well organised event. The route was clearly marked, there was a large number of marshalls and numerous water stations. The course was very attractive with a lot of tracks through the woods but also quite demanding with a couple of very challenging hills.

In short: Harder than I expected but a lovely run
In full: As I usually run on road I seriously underestimated how taxing trail running can be (gravelly hills, narrow paths, bumpy roots, etc). At 5k I revised my expectations of a good PB and opted just to enjoy the run, which I absolutely did. And still shaved a few seconds off of my last (road) 10K. Tea and cake (and apples) at the end were very welcome. I'll definitely be back next year. Well done, Beckenham.

In short: Friendly and well-organised. Great race.
In full: My first 10k after time off with dodgy knee and this was challenging but great fun. Really well-organised with loads of friendly marshalls to offer words of encouragement. Quite evil hill which you have to do twice (once right at the end) but lovely woodland to take your mind off it. Tea and homemade cakes and a medal at the end. Fantastic, welcoming atmosphere and good support from organisers and fellow runners. Hope they do more of these. Will definitely be back.
