In short: Nice flat route. Made for fast, elite runners but fairly dull
In full: I did this with my friend as one of her first 10ks. Route was nice and flat but found it fairly boring especially knowing that after having completed the first 5k that you have to do the same route again. We were glad to see the 9k marker! All being said, this is still a good route and we managed to finish 5 mins under what we expected to do!

In short: Ooh, the wind!!!!!
In full: Nice to be back at Dorney Lake. Shame that the course was two laps along one side of the lake rather than around the water. With no parking on the grass, it was a trek to the start at the far end of the other side of the lake. Not a huge fan of picking up numbers on the day although there was no queue to speak of. Shake and jelly beans in yer bag. Great that the rain held off during the race but the wind really whips in here - particularly on the fare side of the lake where the race was held. All good fun, though.

In short: Potential PB course in right weather conditions.
In full: If you are a late entry make sure you arrive early as the parking, although plentiful, meant a good kilometre run/jog to the start/registration point, better still register on line before, to avoid the panic. Organisational Gripes: Bearing in mind the distance from parking to the start a good baggage area (and changing area)is essential - unfortunately the baggage tent (unsupervised)was lamentable in terms of space, one had to share it with an assortment of competitors bicycles, I just managed to squeeze my bag in, thank goodness the rain held off. Also, big queues for the toilets. The course (two 5k loops - essentially akin to a large tarmac running track) is potentially fast with an excellent surface. I liked the idea of seeing the leaders twice in the race as they pass by in the opposite direction - if you are 'competitive' runner you can keep tabs on your fellow 'athletes'(either in front or behind)at a number of points during the race.

In short: Great location, nice flat course
In full: Great scenery and location but felt a bit ripped off, paid £13 through Runners World site including the extra £2 admin charge - usually means P+P but I had to collect number on the day, looking thru the goody bag I still haven't found my medal or T.Shirt or memento, perhaps it fell through a hole in the bag! Fantastic course for a PB tho.

In short: Flat out and back twice...but the weather held!
In full: Would have been nice with all that space to avoid the need to do a laps course, but scenic enough...

In short: Bit amateur on the whole
In full: Delayed start due to parking problems (not that large a field so shouldn't have been a problem) friendly but slow registration, immensly poor goodie bag - £13 for no medal, no t-shirt, no memento - some sports beans and a milkshake.
