In short: Excellent race
In full: First time I've done the Badger, and it was great. See it as a tour through lovely countryside, and you wont go wrong.

Organisation was spot on. Plenty of water stations, with gels and jelly babies too.

Yes its hilly, but that gives you loads of good views.

In short: Brilliant - friendly/well organised/good fun
In full: It was very hilly so wouldn't recommend it for a first 1/2 marathon but it had a great atmosphere and was really well organised and friendly.

In short: Enjoyed the race day :)
In full: Was slightly concerned with the hills on this one, but experienced runners are not going to do this for PBs. This out and back course was trickier in the first half than the second I felt. Once I worked out the initial downhill wasnt going to be encountered going back, it made it easier to finish. Also finding someone to run with for the second half kept the focus on.

Negative bits... few toilets. And I'm thinking they might want to have a word with the local constabulary to help out. Couple of impatient drivers were putting some runners off their stride at crossing points.

However, there are lots of plus points on this one. Its friendly both participants and marshals. Good organised parking. The organisers seem proud of their event which is good because that means they care. The views are good; the route is a bit traily which makes it interesting. Energy gels on route for those who wanted them. Goody bag ok, esp if you like beer. No medal but technical t-shirt with great design. Fantastic to see a massage section on donations - I tend to pay the same either way, but its appreciated to see so many of them give up their sundays to help out.

I can see myself doing this again as a challenge rather than a race.

In short: Thank you for a spectacular event
In full: A very well organised race with encouraging marshalls around a truly beautiful area.

The national anthem at the start got everyone in the mood for the race, and despite a few hills i managed to get a PB.

Will defintely be doing this next year. A big thank you to the organisers.

In short: A superb race brilliantly organised
In full: This was only my first running of this race but I'll be back for sure. Shaving 10 secs off the PB in a crazy dash across the field at the end capped a great run with terrific scenery, perfect weather for running and near-faultless organisation. The enthusiasm from the marshalls really kept me going and it was good to see so many familiar and friendly faces on course as I struggled around.
