In short: Challenging course but with great (and enthusiastic) marshalling - excellent preparation for London In full: First time at this distance; great support from marshalls, spectators and other runners which compensated for the challenging course. Agree with others that could do with some more toilets but will definitely be back! Date of review: February 25, 2007

In short: Great marathon prep In full: A testing race in rural suffolk - a great warm-up for a spring marathon. Hillier than I'd anticipated...despite being pre-warned about the hills at 9 & 18 miles. Good organisation, friendly atmosphere, good marshalling and plenty of water stations. Will be back next year....much to the disgust of my achy legs... Date of review: February 25, 2007

In short: A hard race but its a build up to London, if you had a good race you will be of at London. In full: YOu cant fault the first part of the carpark organisation, park and grab a coach, race and grab the coach back. For me the arrangements fll apart in the middle.
Not enough loos, changing could do with improving with floor covering, chairs etc.
Then there was the very muddy start & Finsh..with such a wet few day's you might have re routed the beginning to hard surface; as it was impossible to do a decent run on such slipper ground in road shoes.
AS this race was sponsoring Muscular dystrophy there was very little eveidence of the organisation its self except for that small tent in the middle.
The marshalling was excellent as usual with enthusiasm in abundance. i like the race but the percieved value could be improved with a few detail changes.

In short: Great marshalls and posh portaloos! In full: My main gripe is the 300m or so at the start and finish on grass, very slippy and cross country-esque. Also, some advance warning of the car parking charge would have been helpful :-) And finally, the info said there were showers at the sports centre but for the second year running there were no showers there...otherwise a lovely scenic (hily) course! In short: A good preparation for London In full: Apart from a very muddy, slippy start and finish, an interesting and demanding course through the undulating Suffolk countryside with some appreciable inclines up as well as down and two "killer" hills at 9 and 18 miles. Marshalls excellent and encouraging throughout. Weather kind (just!) - after very heavy downpours left the road awash in many places. Thought it a bit pricey - with only a medal at end (and no ribbon with it!). However a good training run for the London Marathon. Date of review: February 25, 2007

In short: Great Scenary, Some steep hills but not enough water/stations In full: Great Scenary and a nice course will some good hills to get stuck into but need some more water stations and more water in the cups, a good race though. Date of review: February 25, 2007

In short: All very good. Only gripes are the lack of toilets nd some sort of floor covering could have been used in the changing marquees. Date of review: February 25, 2007

In short: Race A1 In full: Race very good. But not enough loos.No tent for spectators to sit or shelter in rain and cold.Mens changing could have done with a few more chairs and some sort of plastic covering on the floor to stand on with out getting wet feet.Race its self is out standing. A good lead up to the London. Date of review: February 25, 2007
