In full: My first half marathon since 1994 - and nearly exactly the same time! I was a 27 year old whipper snapper then so not bad for a middle aged plodder. I enjoyed this, it was well organised and friendly. The Viking Way was interesting but the long main road was a bit dull. Thank you the angel who gave me 3 jelly babies at the 8 mile drinks stand: what a revelation! About 1.5 miles later they really took effect, sadly the affect only lasted 1.5 miles before everyone I'd overtaken went past me again! Still, I'm now aching nicely. Many thanks to all who organised a very challenging but strangely enjoyable event. Date of review: March 1, 2010

In short: Fantabulous event, can we do it again nextweek ;o) In full: A brilliant event and has to be one of the best organised ones too. I dont do the off road thing but loved the viking way and its mud, and how quick are those last few miles. Pity the tea man hadnt opened earlier but to be fair he probably wanted to stay where it was warm lol. Lea and her marshalls were fantastic, they musthave been frozen and yet were still cheering and clapping all the way round. I cant talk this event up enough. Well done Sleaford Striders, see you in 2011. Date of review: March 1, 2010

In short: Well done In full: Five years after saying never again I was back yet again.
Yes the off road is mildly challenging but it comes early enough to recover from.
Well done on getting such enthusiastic kids involved from the car parks to the luggage.
Great goody bag too...makes the so called bigger races look pathetic.
Finally..the GNR may have the Red Arrows fly past but how you guys managed to organise a ride pass of six or so off road cross motorcyclists on the Viking Way must have taken some organisation.
Well done guys and for changing the route at short notice too.
See you next year Date of review: February 28, 2010

In short: Well organised race, but a lot of long straight roads In full: Well done Sleaford for putting so much into the run, cheerful marshalls, excellent goody bag, hot showers even when I got in. It could be a PB course apart from the muddy rutted Viking Way where even a 4x4 was stuck. The long straight roads I found a bit tiresome, and no village nor hardly a house to provide some interest. It was a very cold damp dull day; perhaps a ray of sunshine would have brought some cheer. Date of review: February 28, 2010

In short: Thanks for a super race - great marshalls and a lovely cup of tea! In full: Forgotten how this one just seems to carry on going up! The mud was hard-going, but miles 10-12 are worth all the effort. Super atmosphere againn - hats off to Sleaford Striders! Date of review: February 28, 2010
