In short: Really nice race, great to see stadium, but bottleneck and walking was awful!
In full: I really enjoyed the race, and it was fantastic to run alongside the semi-constructed stadium.
The bottleneck and single file walking was awful though... putting a bit of a dent in any pb times. Still, I'm sure the otherwise excellent organisers can fix it for next year. I would definitely run it again.
Thanks

In short: Lovely race - super friendly marshalls - terrible parking
In full: Good race, friendly people, nice route... but terrible pre-race organisation. Directions in the race materials were misleading and parking was a nightmare. It took us an hour to find a spot - which meant we started the race half an hour late (by which time they'd removed the chip sensor at the start). We'd definitely do it again - but next time we'll jump on the tube!

In full: This was special as it was the first Newham Classic 10k. Great atmosphere at the beginning with Tessa Sanderson. The course was interesting and picturesque in parts - taking you up to the impressive building site of the Olympic Stadium and through West Ham Park. Enthusiastic public support throughout the course. Narrow for the first 10k with cones keeping it so, but then pb possibilities as it is a flat course. Communication was poor.I came 2nd 45+ vet and asked if there was a prize and was told no by one organiser. Went home and e-mailed the race director to be told that in fact I had won £70 prize money.

In short: Not bad bar the problem leading to the Olyimpic Stadium
In full: Was my first run on 2009 and I enjoyed it. Thought the set up was pretty good considering it was the first time the event had been staged.

I was near the front so didn't have the problem at the bridge at 2k but when I came back on myself after viewing the stadium I could see the pile up, I wouldn't have been happy had I been cought up in it!! Still I'm sure this will be sorted for next year as building work improves around the site.

Great PB course for runners as it's a very flat course though some runners may have missed out on this because of the congestion at the bridge which is a shame. Didn't think many people turned out to watch though which is a shame.

As people have mentioned the stewards were very good in helping people along. Could have done with distance markers every 1k so runners could assess how they were doing, started every 2k and then every one from 7k onwards I think.

Certainly has the organisation behind it with a few teething problems but I think they will be sorted for next year.

In short: Very friendly run - excellent atmosphere
In full: It was great to have the opportunity to run past the stadium and I would be really interested to see how it has progressed this time next year. It was very well marshalled and the marshalls were great - really supportive and cheering us on. The atmosmphere was excellent.

There could be a few tweaks for next year. There didn't seem to be any time markers at the start so people started all over the place and the narrow path going towards the stadium meant that we had to actually stop and go through very slowly, probably adding an extra 2 minutes to the finish time. It was also a bit chaotic at the finish.

I'm looking forward to coming back next year.

In short: A very average race, although great organisation.
In full: The race at best was average, the queue for the foot tunnel was very annoying, a huge bottleneck leaving many people walking and probably added two minutes to my race time! Marshalling was super, very uplifting. a few not so pleasant locals calling out and heckling.
