In short: Hilly, hard and heavenly
In full: Fabulous course - always going up or going down, quite technical in places and the terrain is ever changing too - whilst this meant that i was not always able to appreciate the outstanding views, it also meant that the out and back course didn't feel repetitive and the miles flew by.
Loved the banter at the start and finish, great t-shirt and hat, as well as the usual impressive bling.
Always enjoy the trionium post race carrot, and the decent fry-up with fellow exhausted runners was also a real treat.

In short: Tough, great views, tough, great views, really tough, great views, painful, who put that last hill there??!!
In full: An almost perfect course on a pretty perfect day! The quarter cut-off certainly makes you keep moving up Leigh Hill, but after that you can enjoy the views and (sometimes) gentle undulations of the next 5 hills that follow it, before you finally reach the haven of halfway and the much-needed sports drink, only to have to turn around and undo all the good work!! My legs certainly felt the third quarter, but the encouragement from all runners, marshalls and supporters was hugely uplifting - thanks to all. I'm planning to submit a planning application for a chair lift up to The Temple for 2012.....

In short: Fabulous race, challenging with amazing scenery
In full: This race is a personal favourite. It is TOUGH to make the Leith Hill cut off, but if you can do that, you will love this race. The views are amazing, the route is fabulous, the organisation is top notch, with a great t-shirt, medal, cooked breakfast, optional swim and good showering/changing & parking facilities available. It's one race I try to do every year...despite being woefully underprepared this year. And so far, the weather has always been fabulous too.

In short: another great trionium event - never fail to impress
In full: I am still finding stairs a little tough to walk down, two days after finishing.

Great atmosphere, friendly runners, and a cut off time to get you thinking about running the first quarter at a fair pace.

I ran up most of the hills on the out, but walked up pretty much anything that looked like an incline on the way back - unless there were people watching!

In short: Tough but runnable, well signed trail, stunning views, sociable event with breakfast afterwards
In full: Well organised, friendly event with the unmistakeable quirkiness of you know who. Tough course except the largely downhill over the last 6 miles when you need it. Out and back makes it more sociable and encouraging. The good weather and fantastic views made it great.

In short: Great Weather, tough Marathon
In full: Need to build a pub with an (outside) toilet at 18km (just above the school). I had to wait until 27km for the Kings Head at Holmbury st Mary

In short: Absolutely Brilliant! A great day out, with a carrot for all finishers!
In full: Really very enjoyable. Great scenery, nice (hard but do-able) route, and well organised. The standout thing for me though was the atmosphere, it just felt like a really positive and friendly race. When I inevitably fell apart at 18 miles every single runner that went passed me gave me encouragement and helped me on to the finish.
I liked the singing too.
