In short: Certainly NOT a flat course, ouch! In full: The t-shirts at the end (which apparently justified the expensive fee) were male only: not great for a small female, waste of money! Date of review: October 5, 2009
In short: Walk back to the car was harder than the race! But what a good race it was! In full: Lots of talk about how bad the parking situation was, the car parks advertised for use seemed to all be 25+ mins from the start. There was a lot more space on the fields inside the park for cars, but I'm not sure if the organisers would be allowed to use this. They'll need to come up with something though, because this race will get bigger every year.
Nice out and back, uphill first half, flat to downhill second. Excellent water stations with Lucozade at 8 and 11.5. OK goody bag, great shirt and medal, but still felt 29 quid was a bit pricey. Date of review: October 5, 2009
In short: Good day out - some hard hills for a flat race though In full: Pretty good for the inaugral event. Traffic management a bit iffy in places. Seemed to "end" rather soon for an all abilities race which was a shame. for anyone running more than 2.30 the finish was a bit flat. Date of review: October 5, 2009
In short: Great organising - especially as its a new race. In full: I was only meant to be doing this as a relay - I thought the novelty of a half-half was great and its probably a great way of getting people running. Sadly my partner dropped out - so I had to run it all - but it was worth doing. If you are doing the relay part - the first half is mainly uphill - and the second downhill. So dont tell this to whoever goes first ! ;-)
Very scenic route - who knew Warrington was that pretty ? Great support from the locals - without them - we couldnt do it. I loved the running on the paths too - but next year can someone trim the low branches please ? Will definitely be back to race that again. Well done everyone.
In short: Fantastic, loved it! In full: Had a great day. Organisation was second to none, a huge thank you to all the marshalls, and water station people, who supported us all. The people of Warrington to were fantastic, coming out to cheer us on. I for one will be making the trip next year. Date of review: October 5, 2009
