In short: Excellent. A big thankyou to the marshals and organisers for a job well done.
In full: This was the third running of this race and with each year it gets better. The route had been changed this year and for the better,as it resulted in fewer styles and the loss of a couple of field crossings (if my memory serves me right). I'm soon to move away from the area but I'm seriously considering making the trip back next year.

In short: A brilliant race in every way. Anyone who lives within 2 hours of this race should think very seriously about coming along next year.
In full: Everything about this race is positive. Even the results were posted within a couple of hours of finishing.

In short: Tough but a great test
In full: Tough race due to heat and hills but a good test, water stations are the best i've come across- a total of 6 water stations and they were all needed so thanks to the organisers and hope other races follow suit on hot days or tough course.Hope to be back next year.

In short: Nice well organised race just too hot.
In full: I really enjoyed this race although found it hard due to the heat and humidity I believe it was nearly 30 degrees. The route ran through some picturesque countryside and pretty villages with a few small hills and some running narrow tracks plus a couple of stiles to negotiate. All of this a new experience to me as I am used to road running. The race was well marshalled and friendly. Depsite the heat I still managed to knock 4 minutes off my PB.

In short: I really enjoyed the run despite the heat. A very friendly group of runners and a well organised event.
In full: A nice varied course with country lanes, tracks and footpaths (No massive hills to contend with). Very hot weather meant the water stations were essential and these were very well recieved. Many thanks to all the marshalls who gave up their sunday mornings to make this event possible. A big thank you to the couple of marshalls who misted us with water about half way round. I enjoyed the event despite the heat. I Will do again next year, hopefully it will be a little cooler.

In short: Scenic race and well marshalled
In full: Although I am relatively local to Shifnal there was a distinct lack of sign posts to direct us to the race headquarters for registration. The start was approx. a mile from the registration and although a map was supplied a marshal directing us to the start would have been a good idea. However, the race itself was run through some lovely villages and there was quite a lot of support from the locals and marshals. The facilities at the finish were good and there were plenty of drinks stations, which were a god send considering the overwhelming temperatures.

In short: Nice low-key race with mix of abilities, good atmosphere, nice course
In full: This was my first time in Shifnal and really enjoyed the run, although heat and humidity were pretty intense. Went there expecting multi-terain, and whilst there was some off-road, there was more on-road than expected. Undulating but no major hills to cause too many problems. more encouragement from the marshalls would have been nice, and although couldn't blame some of them for wanting to sit in the sun reading the Sunday papers, I found it disappointing that on two occassions during the race I had to ask which way I was meant to go because they were too engrossed with reading about England's defeat yesterday (apologies to you football fans!)
