In short: A reasonably challenging race around some pretty countryside. Good & friendly marshalling. The finish was a let down, very sudden & no water was poor. Personally I prefer a medal & not an exact copy of last year's mug.

In short: Slightly disappointing but the atmosphere was good.
In full: Not a bad day out. As others have said no water at the end was a bit of a shocker. Also for £15 it was a bit cheeky to just give finishers a mug and a £5 Sweatshop voucher.
The route is fairly hilly in places so probably not the best route for a PB, overall it was good fun though!

In short: Scenic and well organised
In full: Overall an excellent race as always. The course is tough but fair and very scenic and the two road crossings were extremely well-marshalled. The marshalls were plentiful and helpful/ friendly, which is the great strength of a big club race like this. The other two "key elements" - parking and toilets also worked well, though the queue for the indoor toilets was quite long. The school makes an excellent HQ venue. I liked the finish in the field rather than on the road but would suggest for next year (i) finish a bit into the field rather than right at the gate (ii) there should be some water at the end of what is quite a tough race. Minor suggestions for what is always one of the high spots in my racing year.

In short: Actual race was great - although some killer hills. Finish really disappointing.
In full: The actual route was great some big hills which proved a challenge. The finish was a total let down you turned a corner and there it was - please make better next year. Also lack of drinks stops on route bit gap between 3 and 8, and nothing at the end. At the end of a 10M you need water at the very least, but there was nothing either at the finish or in the hall at the end.
Mug a disappointment - medal would be great.

In short: Very tough but enjoyable
In full: I think other posters have covered the main points, generally very well organised apart from the end. Last year's finish was much nicer. I recognise these are austere times but I think the least one can expect after running 10 miles is some water to be readily available.
Also, I'd prefer a medal to a mug as a memento

In short: Very nice scenic event
In full: I love the challenging route through pleasant 'undulating' countryside. Nice to get a mug as a reward afterwards. No cup of water at the end? - not the end of the world.Good value for money overall.

In short: A great race - highly reccommended
In full: My third time at this, great scenery as always, a couple of tough hills to sort the men from the boys.....slick organisation and friendly atmosphere.

In response to the complaints about the finish, I suppose it could have been 'jazzed up' a bit more...personally I much prefered it to the previous slow drag up the road.
I must agree with the comments about lack of drink at the end - I'm not sure I've ever done a longish race that didn't finish with a drink of some type.
Overall, a cracking race though - I'll be back!

In short: Hard but well worth running
In full: Great scenery and very well organised. never really a flat part of course but this led to a challenging run. maybe a new start is required as very tight for first mile with numbers running.

In short: Well organised race.
In full: Very well organised race with a scenic but challenging course. Good banter with the other runners which is always welcome. I must confess i ddin't see the finish mat either but it wasn't exactly the end of the world. I also like the mug which is ,for me, much better than a medal which i stick in a draw. Thank you.
