In short: Easy run with one steeple hill and an intro to trails
In full: The start was a bit random but from the middle of the bunch I was suprised how flowing the race was - squeezing 500+ runners onto a Tow Path with a mile of a start sounded mad but work OK. Despite the info to the contrary, the course was well marshalled and marked. Add some mile markers and it would have been as good as any other race. Having the start at a large school meant plenty of proper loos and lots of warm space to wait for the start. A good around experience. Would definately come back.

In short: Nice route for us townies.
In full: A bit of a chaotic start - the promised but undelivered lap around the park would have thinned us out before the pinch gates. We were led to believe that maps might be necessary but it was well marshalled in all the right places and there was no chance of getting lost. This would be a nice summer route too.

In short: second half was more fun...
In full: A good, well organised, no frills race. I enjoyed the second half of the race more, once we got off the canal towpath and into the hills and the woodland trails; lovely!

In short: Welcome new fixture to the racing calendar. Beginner friendly scenic course with one challenging hill.
In full: This new race was very popular and oversubscribed 3-4 weeks before so get your entries in early next year! There was even a small contingent who made the trip over from sunny Spain in order to do this.
