In short: A course that can make grown men cry - but having done it you can only smile! In full: Thank you Portsmouth Joggers! It is an amazing course in testing conditions - but what a rite of passage type race it is! Well done. Date of review: February 27, 2011

In short: Mud. Lots and lots and sticky mud In full: My 5th time running this event and whilst the conditions are no where near the worst in terms of weather and water on the course, the mud seemed to be the perfect consistency for sliding sideways and sticking to your shoe. There was one stretch what went on for about 4 miles nearly having me in tears. The new Hill at mile 15 was hideous; I had to use the fence to drag myself up.
Having said all that, its still my favourite race. I didn't enjoy this outing but I will be back next year. I huge thanks to everyone involved. And a big thanks to the girls in pink at mile 7. You made a lot of people smile. I could still hear you echoing across the valley at mile 9. Date of review: February 27, 2011
