In short: An excellent if pricey race, great scenery and atmosphere, the start date has moved forward recently which helps with the heat, There are a couple of long drags which can cause a problem if you go off too quickly. Top Race, well org'd, goo crowd.

In short: Good Event
In full: I found it very easy to find this event. Parking was a bit expensive but there was nothing we could do about that! Changing and Shower facilites very good. The start was a bit manic and could of done with different start times for the half runners. Maybe chip times would be good. I thought the course was a good one with plenty of water stops. I found that the greenway was a bit of a drag on the second lap! I was impressed with the finish area and the medal. If the t-shirts were a bit cheaper I would of brought one. Anyway this race was one of the best organised that I have ran in with plenty of spectators where you need them to encourage you. Great Stuff!

In short: Well organised, very pleasing race
In full: Well marshalled, support good even on the full: you can't expect loads of people to watch duffers like me when there are only a few hundred of us. Those that did were most encouraging.
Minor quibble - for such a scale of event, very surprised they couldn't manage any sports drink. A full is difficult without it unless you carry carbos with you.
Wouldn't have said it was fast as the couple of hills were quite sapping - but got a PB so it must have been! - Thanks to all the helpers.

In short: Expensive to enter.
In full: well organised with a good field of all types of runners.Would the cost put off 1st time runners?

In short: Good race - nice to start in heart of town and finish close to car parks. Lucozade would have been good even if just once at about 18 miles but water plentiful - excellent

In short: a few little inclines...yeah right!!
In full: I managed to get a new Half PB (-1:30) in the race from doing it last year, but there are things which the race lacks - bottled water all the time, instead of cups (running and drinking a cup of water is so hard!!!) bottled water is far easy going! And one steward was particularly sarcastic when I reached 12miles - and commented - only 10 more to go!! Not funny! sorry about the ranting, but after not getting a t-shirt and paying a rather respectable entry fee I do not believe it is worth it!

In short: Well organised medium size event over challenging course
In full: The challenging hill between 17.5 and 18.5 miles makes this a tough spring marathon. 2500 run of which around 2000 are doing the half. This means there is a good atmosphere on the first half, but the support does dwindle for the second circuit. Plenty of water stations and toilets on route. A couple of marshals were patrolling the last 6 miles to check on the strugglers.
Minor quibbles:
- The start is narrow.
- 5 of the last 6 miles is flat, but dead straight along a disused railway trail. It can seem a very long way.
If I was ever going to run another marathon, I would consider doing this one again, but after another encounter with the wall, I'm sticking to 10Ks from now on.

In short: My local race and first ever 1/2 Marathon - Fantastic day with great organisation.
In full: I was slightly concerned that the start had no pacing markers (ensuring start position according to intended pace); the start was unavoidably congested but moved everyone moved swiftly and I wasn't held up at all. There were plenty of water/sponge stations and i'm sure the numerous WC's on course were appreciated by many. Nice medal and a tasty banana. Crowds were great and organisation fantastic, WELL DONE ORGANISERS!!!

Really REALLY enjoyed the day and managed to beat my estimated time by 10 mins, will definately come back each year in future!
