In short: Very well run enjoyable event In full: A great race for marathon preparation. Was not looking forward to two laps but actually enjoyed it. Superb organisation and very friendly marshalls. Nice medal, easy parking and access, fair amount of loos. Everything that you look for in an event. Will definately be back. Date of review: March 19, 2012
In short: Brilliant pre marathon race In full: It's the first time like lots of other people there that i'd ventured over the 16 mile mark. Everyone was really encouraging and welcoming. It was good that no music was allowed just to make it more sociable with other runners. Date of review: March 19, 2012
In short: Superb race with buttery-smooth organisation and a band of very merry marshals In full: This was an absolutely superb race which I thoroughly enjoyed.
The distance markers were pretty spot on, the fuel stops exceeded all expectation and the marshals were simply lovely - incredibly enthusiastic and encouraging every step of the way.
As most of this race was along country roads it was important that traffic was managed safely. The marshals did a fantastic job of keeping us safe along the busier stretches and were quick to jump in if a car was getting a tad too close for comfort.
I was happy to part with my £25 for this event. Not only were there more gels and Jelly Babies than you could shake a stick at on every water stop, everyone got a drink and a chocolate bar at the end and the medal was a great quality bit of bling - something worth earning.
For a small donation you could even get a post-race massage at the end.
I will definitely be back for this race next year. Thank you for a great day and keep up the good work! Date of review: March 19, 2012

Flat first 3 miles to get you into pace. Plenty of water stations. A few hills on the loop to keep you working. Excellent marshals. Great medal and a chunky Kit Kat. Who could want more from a pre-marathon trainer? Excellent event. Date of review: March 19, 2012

In short: My favourite race of the year - great atmoshphere, stunning scenary, perfect organization - I left feeling all warm and glowy inside In full: This is one of my favourite races of the year. For starters, the organization is excellent with unlimited parking, enough toilets, every mile well marked, lots of marshalls etc - all those little things that can really ruin your day if they're not done. Then there is the course itself - winding through stunning scenary with enough up and down to keep you challenged but not enough to cripple you! But what really makes this race is the atmoshphere - people are there to have fun and ENJOY the run and it really shows. I had some fantastic conversations ont he way round (Clive if you are reading this, 10 miles have never passed so quickly!), the marshall cheered us at every turn and the music and cheers at the end really made my day. Great medal and chocolate bars at the end - what more could you want! I feel like I had a beautiful morning the countryside with a big groupd of frds - perfect marathon training!
