In short: Fabulous race-did it last year and will be back next year all being well. Excellent organisation and attention to detail In full: Amazing!! Did this superb race last year in horrendous winds along the front; couldn't have been calmer this year and got my first sub 50 minute 10k, even with an injured ankle.Flat, flat, flat. Fabulous organisation once again. Great t-shirt, loads of encouraging marshalls and great facilities at the start and finish. Roll on 10th Feb 2013!! Date of review: February 12, 2012
In short: the dogs ........! In full: Great race. I've done both. This one was even better than last years. More entrants but more road closures. Everything about this race is slick. Good for pb seekers as its as flat as a pancake. But also great for first timers due to the organization of the race and the friendliness of all the marshals who guide and encourage you around the course. This is one of the few races that you wish you could do again only 10 minutes after finishing it. Can't wait for mad dog 3, revenge of the canine, 10-2-13 Date of review: February 12, 2012
In short: Let the Mad Dog's Howl with Pleasure In full: Excellent organisation, brilliant & amusing t-shirt & medal, excellent goody bag! Happy and cheerful marshalls, brilliant centre, with hot showers! Can't knock it at all - and a pb to boot:-) Date of review: February 12, 2012
In short: A must do for all running dogs from daschunds to whippets. In full: What a cracking race.
A flat comparatively bend free course and complete lack of breeze meant a route made for PB.
First class marshalling all the way through, from the car park, right round the course to post race. Texted results, unique T-shirt and designer medal all added to the sense of value for money for runners and a great event.
The only reason I didn't give scenery full marks is that it isn't Great Langdale, but not bad all the same.
Love these smaller events, so much better than the giant Great Runs
