In short: Well organised but tough race through some lovely Chiltern lanes. A sunny day made it all the better!

In short: One of my favourite races of all time - I can't fault it.
In full: Extremely good organisation and facilities, fantastic marshals, lovely course. Highly recommended. Second year I've done it, this year bringing along a friend who'd never run a half marathon. We both loved it and would do it again!

In short: Brilliant again, but now straining at the seams
In full: Once again Marlow Striders did a wonderful job. This is a glorious course through Buckinghamshire woodland with 2 horrific climbs at mile 8 and 11. Really well marshalled and many thanks to all who helped out. Great support from local residents/spectators too. One of my highlights of the year.

The race feels like it is getting too big now though with lots of congestion at race hq (though none on the course); 45 minute queues for toilets and big queues for hot drinks afterwards. Please dont let it grow any bigger!

In short: !
In full: Fantastic friendly marshalls on course and at water points. Overall very well organised. You need to be prepared for the hills though because they are tough.

In short: Superb half marathon, although somewhat punishing!
In full: This was my first time at Marlow, and I am instantly won over. What a race. Stunning scenery and very good organisation. Hills... aaarghhh... horrible... especially those at ~ mile 8 and again at 11... ouch! Down was as hard as up! Final run-in to the finish was 1 mile+ of blissful gradual downhill running... best and fastest ever HM finish. Very well done Marlow Striders... if I can I will be back.

In short: Thank you Marow Striders and Marshalls, a great race
In full: Third time for this race and the hills seemed even tougher! The race organisation was excellent and the support along the route was really encouraging. A very friendly race and not surprised it sells out early. Well done to Marlow Striders

In short: Tough but rewarding
In full: So the hills that people talk about are tough, but the downhill bits do allow you to make up time. Running conditions were beautiful today and I managed to run a pb. Scenery was nice, stewards did a great job and overall I'd highly recommend it (as long as you've trained for hills!)

In short: The hills at miles 9 & 11 are infamous, the marshals are amazing. One of the best races on the circuit
In full: This was my second Marlow HM and I'll keep coming back. The scenery is just stunning, made even better this year without the driving rain. The hills are tough, but plenty of encouragement from fellow runners and the wonderfully enthusiastic marshals keeps you going. And a huge fan of the long sleeve t's. Well done Marlow Striders, a great race.
