In short: glorious setting, but hottest day of year - organisers provided plenty of water

In short: Superb setting and an interesting don and up course. Starting in fron t of the house is pretty impressive, and the first half downhill gives that warm glow. But halfway back uphill you may realise a 5k PB is difficult.

In short: Great views and traffic-free
In full: This was my first 5K and I felt quite comfortable with the field, which was a mixture of both club and unaffiliated runners. The grounds provide a pleasant backdrop without having to worry about traffic. Downhill on the way out, and the course is reversed on the way back, with a final lap of the manor house.

In short: Tough hill esp. for beginners like me but enjoyable
In full: Nice atmosphere and a good mix of fast runners and beginners like me. Not recommended if you're looking for an easier start to your running career! Lovely first 2K all down hill but remember you have to come back up the hill on the way back!

In short: Great race with a terrific setting
In full: The first 2K is downhill, then you go back up the same hill for 2K, and the final 1K is flat around the massive house and gardens. Terrific evening with a real mixture of runners.

In short: Good points - Nice to run around this National Trust site, which has some great views to take in whilst running.
In full: Bad points - Entry fee too much especially as all you receive at the the end of the race is a potential 5k PB and the views of Lord Rothschilds estate. This is not enough for this recognition motivated runner to swallow.
