In short: Great Run
In full: A great race and a brilliant day out. Took 5 mins of my 1/2 pb which isn't bad with that long hill @ 10.5 miles. People were great handing out sweets and cakes all the way round. Very well organised start and finish with plenty of drinks around the course. Top stuff as usual from this series.

In short: Birmingham's back on the running map
In full: Being my home event, I was always going to do this regardless of the catastrophes from last year's event.

Superbly organised with a runner only start, waves, plenty of drink stations (one unofficial one too thanks to spares from the other side of the Pershore Road) and it never felt too congested.

The residents of Birmingham did the city proud by supporting its runners, something that has been missing from a lot of my recent races.

Not a PB course due to the tough final 2-3 miles of hills and underpasses.

Well done to all involved!

In short: All in all a very well organised race but watch out for the killer hills.
In full: A great start for the new organisers of this half marathon after the complete shambles of last year. By and large a good course but those hills at mile 10 seemed to kill everyone off. You know its bad when Haile Gebrselassie said he felt like crying.
All in all a very well organised race but watch out for the killer hills.

In short: What a fantastic day!
In full: This was my 10 Half marathon, third time running Birmingham, each time I get a PB. But this year it the one to remember. Once again the locals were out to cheer us on. Plenty of water stations, very well organised start, which is a big improvement from last years feasco when it was with EDF. This was my Husbands first Half and he has now been converted! I obtained a PB and my Hubby smashed that by 2 mins. Well done to BUPA, Marshalls, and the Birmingham Locals. Its always a pleasure to run the great Birmingham half! WELL DONE! See you all next year!
