In short: Better than ever
In full: Superbly organised race, friendly marshalls and a great atmosphere. Definately one of my favourite races. The long sleeve , high viz technical top I received is worth the entry fee alone.

In short: Take numerous factors that shouldn't work and sprinkle with Stockport Harriers dust
In full: The route, the rain, the stolen water station, the hills and the impatient Christmas shoppers should have made this a nightmare but once again Stockport Harriers prove why this is the Premier 10 miler in the country. I pb'd which defies logic against a flat route but those marshals are worth an extra minute or two on their own. Thank you everyone who stood in the rain and remained positive, vocal and cheerful right to the end. Same again next year please :)

In short: Who knew Stockport was so scenic?
In full: Very well organised race. Generous cash prizes to attract the elites plus interesting goody bag, long sleeved technical tee shirt, spot prizes and unique soap on a rope medal for the less fleet of foot. Shame on the scrotes who knicked the water station but top marks for arranging alternative supply at short notice. Special mention to Tony Audenshaw for the very funny commentary. Oh and thanks to the marshals especially the nice looking one outside Pear Mill who was doing a great job directing traffic.

In short: Another brilliant Stockport 10
In full: It really is one of the best races in the calendar, probably THE best for value and, er, originality. It's not the easiest course, and the weather was ATROCIOUS, but the marshals really do deserve all the plaudits they get. They must have been frozen by the time I reached them but they were all still smiling and cheering. Fantastic t-shirt, hats off to Tony Audenshaw (BRILLIANT), so much fun you can almost forget the hills. And the rain. Almost.

Well done again, Stockport AC

In short: Weather cannot dampen the spirit of this great race
In full: Surprisingly quick given the couple of bumps in the route and always superbly organised by Stockport Harriers. A fixture in my calendar.

In short: Great
In full: Although this race is run by my club it was the race that really got me into running when I did it out of interest and loved it. This year despite rain and other problems the organizers and marshals were great. The goody bag again defied logic and in fact sanity. It may not be the fastest race but is the best.

In short: This race is like a weird cocktail, all the wrong ingredients combine to create running perfection.
In full: I can't believe how good this race is. It is brilliantly staged and attracts super elite athletes to fun runners and everything in between.

The course start and finishes on the track and takes in a wide range of the scenic and the dreary. It is challenging but not ridiculous and has the best marshalls of any race I have done.

Oh, and the best goody bag, too.

er, and nothing can compare to the compere.

Not hard to see why they filled up in advance. I will be getting my entry in early for the next one.

Not to be missed.
