In short: Worth travelling - Enjoyed
In full: No problems. As a newcomer, I was glad I walked the start the day before to get the layout of Stadium & Park. Race was fine, bit narrow at places and bit uphill into the stadium at the end. Lots of spectators, some roadside on their sofas drinking wine near the Universtity! Very good atmosphere - hope to run Reading again.

In short: Best ever race
In full: This is definitely the best organised and friendly race I have taken part in. This was my third half marathon but blew the other 2 out of the water.

I came into the race with a few niggling injuries but other than the approach to the stadium (which was a dual carriage way) there were crowds cheering you on through the whole route which gave me a massive lift and help me finish and even achieve a P.B. Big shout out to the ladies banging on the pots and pans with wooden spoons – you sounded great!

There were loads of water and lucozade stations for energy boosts, so dehydration was not a concern.

I could not recommend this event highly enough – this is a brilliant advert for Reading and the people of Reading!

Can’t wait for next year!

So sorry to hear about Ged Clarke who died after finishing the run, thoughts are with his friends and family.

In short: Well organised, excellent atmosphere and a lovely route!
In full: What a fantastic atmosphere! So much support from the spectators and the other runners were so enthusiastic it was a real treat to run at this one! Spent the first 5 miles witha big goofy grin!

Scenery was nice and it was great to run through the towna nd get the support. The last mile or so along a dual carriageway wasn't so interesting and it was tough as there wasn't much shade on such a warm day.

Great to finish in a stadium and hear the cheering from the crowd - what a buzz!

One of my top ever races! (The PB helped too! :)

In full: Altogether a well organised race with great PB potential. Getting more popular by the year though, so congested in places.
The atmosphere the whole way along was fantastic, the crowd were brilliant. If I had to ask for one thing to make it better, it'd be (possibly) one more water/lucozade stop, but what was on offer was more than adequate.
Would recommend this race to anyone - both experienced runners and those wanting to lose their half-marathon virginity.

In short: Puts Reading on the map!
In full: Really good race, few problems at the start which could be improved. Crowd around the course and in the stadium were just awesome, why runners need headphones I do not know. Those with headphones on are missing out BIG TIME ! Enjoyed my beer at the Nags Head on Russell Street and still managed a PB !
