In short: A well organised race in the Derbyshire countryside.
In full: No problems at all with car parking, although I did get there quite early. Very well organised by the marshals. The large number of entrants (750) made for a good atmosphere. A good mix of scenery, both urban and rural. A few hills, so I had to pace myself a bit. A personal best too. Very pleased.

In short: Lovely day for a run
In full: Perfect conditions- much better than the treacherous weather of last year. Course was much improved on last year- none of the killer hills but still undulating. Finish could have been better orgainised as there was no funnel so runners were overtaking after the finish. Overall a great race and I shall enjoy the Christmas Pudding with custard tonight!

In short: If that was the less hilly version I am pleased I did not run the old course.
In full: Shocking weather for the whole time of the race. The marshalls standing out in this weather were brilliant. The encouragement they gave all the runners around me was excellent. Found the long hill up to the finish very hard work especially as I was shattered.
Loved eating the pudding on Xmas day certainly a big attraction to do it again next year.

In short: Brill "Pud", Average "Race"
In full: If I was cold and wet through then a big thank you to the marshalls, especially those who cheered us on despite, is well deserved. Didn't like the new route at all, and that had nothing to do with the hills (faster, flatter course? my a**e!) or the weather.

In short: Matthew Walker Chrismas pudding that you get when crossing finishing line is better than any medal or tee-shirt1
In full: I have run this race many times; the change of course this year, together with the weather, made the going quite tough, although this could be down to my personal fitness at moment (?). Apart from the lack of changing/shower facilities, this is a very well organised run and if you have not run it before, worth including on your 2008 race calendar.
