In short: Didn't like to 2 wave start...seemed a bit pointless. Was my first half marathon and I thoroughly enjoyed it despite the pain. Great atmosphere!!

In short: Not so keen on the there and back portion at the start; though very scenic I would prefer a loop. Overall it is nice and flat other than a few short easy uphill sections. More toilets at the start and regular distance markers would have been nice.

In short: Superb event, excellent organisation.
In full: This is my home event, so I might be a bit biased. I have run this event several times and every time I have enjoyed it. 2008 was no exception. Superb organisation; getting there by Brislington Park and Ride was easy, toilet was ok, start was busy but well planned. Route was well marshalled and the crowd support was excellent. Even the weather was great. A great event. Thank You.

In short: Vast improvement on previous years
In full: This is my third year and this has been the best one yet. The organisation has been the best yet in the years I've ran so it's nice to know the powers that be are listening. A big thank you to the marshalls and supporters who gave up their free time to help and cheer. I hope everyone's okay and recovering well after running on such a warm day.

In short: Very good. Much better organisation than previously.
In full: They have made definite improvements on the organisation and can now handle the large field. My only two gripes were that I mised a number of the mile markers and the diffculty of getting back to College Green after the race. The latter definately needs to be looked at. However, overall it was an excellent race with really good crowds.

In short: Magnificent organisation, running under the suspension bridge is gorgeous, getting a PB helped ;)
In full: I wasn't sure how it would be with running along the Portway but it was great, nice and easy to get your pace and see all the other runners too.
I loved running through the Avon Gorge and under the suspension bridge. The bits in town were lovely too.
I did Bath this year and was very disappointed with the way they managed the timing pens. Bristol had this spot on. I was hoping to run quickly and so wanted to just get straight in to my stride and this allowed for this. I got a PB a few minutes under my planned time so certainly PB potential.
I got the feeling that beginners were very welcome, it is a huge field.

In short: Much improved over previous years
In full: Did previous 2 years and glad to say this race had much improved organisation. The organisers should be congratulated on sorting the race out. The 2 part start worked, very good marshalling, drinks good , support excellent and finish good. Overall a rewarding race, and nice to be involved in such a big event. One small point I missed a number of mile markers, particularly after 9 miles. But, after having 4 months off races due to injury, just finishing this was a great feeling. Keep up the good work Bristol

In short: Good
In full: Was worried after last years reviews but i cant really complain about anything, although getting out of the runners village to get back to the car was a chore.

Crowd and marshall support was great.

Thought the route was ok but not so keen on the last couple of miles. Not a PB for me today but definatly has the potential.

In short: Great organisation, thoroughly enoyed it.
In full: Much the best big city half I've done. The wave start worked well, no weaving in and out of other runners. The only small problem was getting back to College Green after the race. Everywhere seemed to be blocked off with security fences. Some signs would have helped! I reckon I walked a good mile and a half to get free of the finish line.

Please organisers put some signs up to guide us back!
