In short: Lovely countryside; excellent organisation with friendly, helpul people all around-what running is all about!!!!
In full: My 1st Eyam "experience"...and it didn't disappoint-the local organisers should take a pat on the back...all the helpers & marshalls clearly knew their roles &, most importantly, did things with a smile! Fantastic scenery. Left Eyam with a glow on my face - there are alot of races could learn from this relaxed, well organised approach; and yes, I'm sure to be back!!

In short: tough but fun!!
In full: If you do one half in your life time..this is the one! Forget your "normal" half PB so aim for a coarse PB. The hills are steep and unforgiving. The views in the undulating mid-section are fantastic but you need to watch your pace to save a little for the final 800ft ascent! Very well run and everyone is friendly and encouraging. see you there next year.

In short: Tough but great race..will be back next year!!
In full: A tough and challenging Half Marathon with spectactular views over the countryside. The organisation was fantastic, with plenty of water and sponges. Some pretty nasty hills, especially in the last few miles, but the scenery made it worthwhile. I would say this is one of the most rewarding runs I have completed.I will definately be back next year!!

In short: Excellent race with stunning views (and a couple of hills)
In full: As far as races go there is absolutely nothing to fault with this one. The organisation was spot on, the marshalls friendly and encouraging, plenty of water stations, good support in the village and a great t-shirt.

The course is challenging but the scenery more than makes up for that. There are two major climbs with a couple of pretty fast downhill stretches including the last 1.5 miles to the finish.

This will definitely be in my calendar for next year.

In short: Hilly with magnificent scenery
In full: Tough first 2 or 3 miles then fairly fast from the 3 mile to 9 mile marker with great views. This is followed by a 3 mile struggle and then a steep downhill mile to the finish. Lovely village and I actually thought the guy with the microphone was quite good! Would recommend it if you don't mind hills too much.

In short: Great !
In full: Great run, very friendly, spot on organisation, plenty of water stations (but why full water bottles that you only take a sip at before discarding ? - though better than plastic cups) What hills ! you know you've run up an hill when there is a gliding club at the top !
