In short: Good Marathon Prep
In full: Nice race through countryside on tarmac roads. Thought there were quite a few undulations. Good marshalling, plenty of drink stations and good mile markers. Congested start running into oncomming traffic and busy finish too. If I was to be picky, I could say that the results could have been posted a bit quicker.

In short: Very enjoyable and well organised
In full: The course was very pleasant and the marshalls were excellent - all very encouraging. It was a little congested in the first mile or so, and I agree with Grayster H's comments about the traffic on the road near the finish, but overall a very well organised run and ecellent preparation for an April marathon.

In short: Great marsahalls as always.
In full: Great race as always. Marshalls are some of the friendliest in the country. Loved the jelly babies at 10 & 16 miles!!. Medal not so good after such a long run. Soitfire 20 was much better!!.Well organised and great scenary.

In short: professionally organised, unbeatable value
In full: Many thanks to the organisers and marshals for a great 2010 event. Good course marking and frequent water stops make this very useful as a pre-London training event. I like the idea that people are allowed to start early if they don't think they'll make the (fairly generous) cut-off time, though how they get up even earlier on the day the clocks go forward is beyond me.

In short: Great distance and event - shame about the traffic at the finish
In full: This runs across a pretty quiet rural road course with 3 visits to Cranleigh town where there was some decent support. The course is fairly flat (except for that hill at 14/20 and one quite early on). Nice mixed participation. Excellent marshalling. Quite frequent drinks stations (although I think I would have preferred one more and all serving orange) and thanks to the jelly-baby-duo.

Downside was the unclear and cluttered start which was pretty congested for first two miles. Finish line was, in my view, fairly dangerous cutting across an open road. When I ran in there were cars stopped on either side and I had to dodge though the middle avoiding wing mirrors. Looks like an accident waiting to happen plus some pretty disguntled drivers giving verbal after you've done 21m is not good.

This is great pre-marathon race training and really good value.

In short: Well organised low-key scenic run, great for marathon training
In full: Really well organised event, great value, well marshalled, and lots of water stations.
Nice sized event, really nice atmosphere but quite quiet and low key (which I liked) but the route is not lined with vast numbers of supporters cheering you on if that's your thing.
Really nice route, scenic, and a few slight inclines, but generally pretty flat, and good for marathon training.

In short: A cheap as chips 21 miler
In full: Perfect preparation for a spring marathon. The event felt very low-key, but the organisation was all spot on.
