In short: Definately a race of two halves
In full: a slog up stonegate road and the ring road at meanwood, but after the half way point its pretty much downhill and a flat run back into the city. the organisation was improved from last year and the drink stations significantly better. the small bottles of water were ideal - cups usually mean wet feet! the race was well supported, especially on Kirkstall Road. A big thanks to the support from the Marshalls and those helping at the drink stations. As its my local event i will be back next year!

In short: The hills can be killers but generally a good challenge

In short: There was lots of down hill running, and some wag playing the theme tune to Chariots of Fire, which definately quickened the step!

In full: My first half marathon and managed 5 mins under the 2 hours. Recommend training on the route especially the two hills at Stonegate Road and Ring Road near Lawnswood. Last 4 miles into city is a slog. But atmosphere was brilliant especially at start and finish. No problems with water stops this year.

In short: Challenging but worth the effort
In full: Last ran this in 2007 and organisation does seem to have improved. As others have said more and better organised drink stations (sponges too) and some of bottlenecks have been reduced if not entirely eliminated. Having just 1 lane on ring road not entirely satisfactory but difficult to see council closing entire road. My major quibble would be on position of mile markers which seemed all over the place. One of the best finishes around though past the Town Hall and into Milennium Square where there is plenty of room.

In full: This was a really well organised and friendly event... it was a testing course at the start and up to 6 miles with no a great deal of support amongst the toughest parts... the last 7 miles were great, it was great to run into Leeds City Centre and get a warm welcome after a testing run.. I will defo come back again.. great medal and very friendly throughout.

In short: Lots of water/energy drink stations, nice quality t-shirt (although not technical) and, although I'm not a collector, a decent medal!

In short: First half mainly up hill but not too bad, last mile longest i've ever done
In full: My first half and will probably be a regular. first half of the course has some long uphill sections and some nice downhills. Second half predominately flat but has a nasty incline over the last half mile to the finish, that bit hurts. Good mix of runners, well supported in some spots
