In short: Nice race, good support, what the hell, cant leeds council afford to re-lay/re do tarmac pavements, no complaint to the event people, but " uneven surface " just dont cut the mustard.

In short: An old favourite that is worth doing year after year.
In full: Good city centre finish. Interesting colour T-shirt this year (makes a change from the dull grey ).

In short: Nice enough ay to spend a morning.
In full: No major gripes. I'd echo the earlier points about the path being narrow at times, and the area wherever the corporate relay types were around was usually congested but plenty of water and the coppers and marshalls were all good.

Definitely concur with the earlier point about the top totty. Ladies of Leeds take a bow.

In short: Nice race but organisation could have been better and not great atmosphere along the route
In full: Having to run along that pot-holed, frankly dangerous footpath along the Ring Road is bad enough when i go out for a run with a friend but it was irresponsible to ask the runners to use this path. The trees were hanging low, the pot-holes were just waiting to trip you up and there was general anxiety growing as everyone wanted to run their best but couldn't as it was single file for a good stretch of it. The elbows were out in force. This section of the race should definitely be revised for the future.
DJ at the start was just annoying although it was great to have Jimmy Saville there!
Overall a good race but the organisation of the route not great.

In short: A good undulating race
In full: Generally all pretty good, with only some minor niggles.
Good points.
My first (and local) half-mara - so I guess it will always be a bit special.
A good crowd of approx 4000 runners with a range of abilities.
Not as hilly as some people say - more undulating, I suppose.
Bad points.
No sports drinks (as advertised) at water stations (unless they had all gone, but I wasn't that far back).
Disappointing goodie bag - nothing to eat in it...
At one stage (along the ringroad), having to run down the pavement as the road wasn't closed.
Dreadful pre-race warm-up banter from some local radio DJ.

In short: First half - marathon . . . . hilly but a good challenge
In full: I never knew so many muscles could ache. Great water stations and toilets, but was looking for the sports drinks that were supposed to be there!. Support from volunteers fantastic, police did brilliant job along with first aiders from what I saw. Great public support at the end where I needed it! Great to see Jimmy Saville there. Overall, really good organised event! well done to all who organised and ran!

In short: The start area needs some tidying up - too many people in a small area, but otherwise a friendly well-marshalled quality race that benefits from some good support.

In short: Getting better and better
In full: My 2nd Leeds Half and the start was much better oganised than in 2005. I forgotten what a slog Stonegate Road is but the reward is a fast, flat/downhill final 7 miles. Just missed out on sub-90mins by a few seconds but blame the Tadcaster Tri yesterday for that rather than the hills. Chip timing and more water stations a big improvement on my first experience but a poor t-shirt design and medal disappointed me a bit. Thanks to all the marshalls and helpers.
