In short: Friendly Village Race. Will Do This Again
In full: This was my second go at this and it's one of my favourites. The half-mile markers really help. It's a bit cheaper than a lot of other races, too. I'll be back next year, all being well.

In short: Great rolling scenery - first warm one of the year takes you a bit by surprise
In full: Hmmmm...start a bit chaotic, need to sort out toilets, and bottle neck after only 100yds a bit messy...otherwise a good race. Earlier water station would have helped. Bottles rather than cups is loads better. Enjoyed it though

In short: Well marshalled, No goodie bag, could have done better.
In full: 1/2 marathon; Start chaotic nobody knew which way to go! Toilets a disaster, although porta loos turned up 15 mins before start!Good course with well marshalled turns etc. End bit disappointing with no goodie bag, just a blank certificate which they ran out of (How?!?) and a shirt, which they also ran out of!!!
Fun Run complete shambles. My 10 year old was knocked over, wife got his knee seen to then started off, but all marshals had gone, hence they ran 1 mile in wrong direction! Daughter fared even worse, marshals sent them the wrong way and ended up 3.5 miles away in middle of nowhere. No certificates of shirts left at end when we all finally found our way back! Dont do Fun run, but 1/2 good.

In short: Friendly atmosphere, quiet roads, gentle hills but mostly flat
In full: Start was a bit of a cock-up as the direction was reverse of last year and necessitated slowing down after a few yards to squeeze through on to the road. After that everything went fine. Lots of club runners and general standard was pretty high. As with last year marshalling was friendly and efficient. Weather helped: sunny but with nice cooling breeze.

In short: Great race!
In full: Great race. Comedy start only added to the atmosphere. I'd rather take village events like this than the big MKs or Blackpools of this world. Well done all.
