In short: Great break in the weather - but hilly !
In full: A very well organised race - good marshalling, but a very challenging run - very hilly - more of a going for a finish alive than getting a PB !! - good finish run.

In short: Four hills and a great clap home.
In full: This is my favourite race as its my home town and living in Oxford, I look for any an excuse to go back. The course is a little testing - up and down two good hills, a loop around then return back over the two hills. 2006 was a hot one (30 degrees celsius) - hopefully it will be a little tamer next year.

The race starts and finshes on Sanders Park, a large park a walkable distance from Bromsgrove town centre with great support at the end. Its one of those where everybody seems to linger a little more than usual after the race.

Enjoy!

In short: my first 10k race - panicked on arrival as seemed all club runners, but enjoyable despite heat and hills

In short: Well organised, traffic free and friendly
In full: A testing gem of a course especially as it's traffic free. Marshalls and organisation great with really good support as you come in to the finish. One year we'll get typical summer weather (cold and wet) and that will make it perfect.

In short: Very well organised
In full: Excellent organisation. Extra water station due to the very hot weather was a blessing. Course was a bit narrow and there was some confusion with slower runners (like me) getting in the way of the faster runners as they were being lapped. Nice medal and nice spot prize. Overall, an excellent day out.

In short: HOT!
In full: It was amazingly hot and sticky, which slowed some of us down anyway, there were more water stations added to compensate for the weather, but Iguess it would never seem enough!I have to say I think there was a lot more hills than stipulated on the race plan, and as a first time race it was tough! But yes, I would do it again, though I'd pray for cooler weather!

In short: Plenty of water stations, traffic-free
In full: Overall, very good. The start seemed a bit far away from where everything was going on, but adequate signs. Km markers highly visible, and good marshalling. Extra water station put on due to the hot weather, which was a nice touch. Friendly supportive locals with bottles of water and there was a very welcome bucket of water and sponge just when it was needed! Marshalls were also giving out bottled water, another nice touch!
The hot weather and the hills (the last one in particular), were quite a challenge, making times slower than expected. Nice atmosphere, good support especially at the finish.

In short: Pleasant race with a good atmosphere. Course is a little on the testing side given the undualtions but on a cooler day would perhaps offer some PB potential
