In short: Tough Little Beauty In full: Tough undulating 10km, very well organised. Was on for a PB till the last hill and then it went a bit Pete Tong. Definitely be back again next year. Date of review: July 1, 2007
In short: great course. very well organised. had a great day and would definitely do it again. my only advice for anyone running it for the 1st time is to save a little for the last hill! Date of review: July 1, 2007
In short: Good race, well organised, well marshalled. A few hills! Weather held out! In full: I enjoyed this run. You get to run down a big hill on the way out. Unfortunately it is still there on the way back! Lots of puddles on the lanes to splosh through due to the incessant rain (which actually held off for the whole race). Finish was nice - and what a fantastic medallion at the end! Date of review: July 1, 2007
In short: A good hilly road race. In full: Lots of beginers in what is a stiff challenge I think,so well done to them!Good support at finish and the rain held off. That final long hill takes some doing. Date of review: July 1, 2007
In short: The hill was a killer, but there were ferrets at the end! In full: Excellently organised - good signs leading to start and carpark made it easy to find. Marshalling was excellent throughout. Course was pleasant, except for the hill just after 8km. Part of the Bromsgrove Carnival in Sanders Park, so there were stalls to wander round afterwards - including Mercia Ferret Welfare and Rescue, witha 'ferret roulette'. I got a spot prize, so between that and the ferrets I was pretty chuffed. Date of review: July 1, 2007
In short: Great break in the weather - but hilly ! In full: A very well organised race - good marshalling, but a very challenging run - very hilly - more of a going for a finish alive than getting a PB !! - good finish run. Date of review: July 1, 2007
In short: Four hills and a great clap home. In full: This is my favourite race as its my home town and living in Oxford, I look for any an excuse to go back. The course is a little testing - up and down two good hills, a loop around then return back over the two hills. 2006 was a hot one (30 degrees celsius) - hopefully it will be a little tamer next year.
The race starts and finshes on Sanders Park, a large park a walkable distance from Bromsgrove town centre with great support at the end. Its one of those where everybody seems to linger a little more than usual after the race.
