In short: Well organised, undulating with good atmosphere
In full: Did the half marathon and found the course to be undulating but scenic through the parks and round the city centre. Didn't get a PB as was caught up in congestion for the first couple of miles, so will remember to start in a faster start pen next year. Well organised, plenty of toilets for a change, nice goody bag and a decent medal. Lots of support out on the course, well stocked aid stations. Parking was straightforward and easy as we got there early. Was quite expensive but I'm happy to pay a bit more and get a decent medal - liked having the option of buying a t-shirt. Well done Nottingham!

In short: Good organisation but where is my T-shirt!
In full: Thought the organisation of the car parks and race village was very good. All water stations were well stocked and at good intervals. Finish was also well organised.
Only real niggles on the organisation front are no T-shirt and lack of pen marshalling. Don't see the point of colour code bibs if it doesn't make the slightest bit of difference at the start.

Also the park sections did feel narrow at times for the number of runners.

However, all in all a well run good event that I would definitely do again.

In short: 5th time running - best yet - pb again :-)
In full: This is the 5th consecutive year running nottingham, and it is definately the best it's been this year.

Plenty of marshalls, water, drinks etc. A very nice goody bag, nice medal.

It is an expensive race by comparison with others, but it doesn't seem to put people off.

In short: My local marathon, so I'm loyal......
In full: Yes it is expensive, (don't bother paying for the t-shirt) the first half is a seriously hilly challange with massive amounts of runners on some occasionally quite narrow paths, and the second half is quite lonely in places. But it is a well supported race, through Nottinghams nicest bits, with a fantastic atmosphere - loads of drummers, music, and the odd water pistol attack.

An unusually high number of 'dead' runners at the sides of the roads this year, though, and alot of marathoners breaking off at the embankment and just doing the half. The route was identical to last year, but alot of people did seem to be struggling.

Marshalls and huge crowd (particularly in the first half) did a fantastic job of cheering us on, and it's this that makes it a fantastic race! It's my big race of the year, and I love it!

In short: Well-organised
In full: got carried away at the start of this my local race which I have done many times before, forgetting that I have not done any distance training since April! Remembered when I got to 3 miles and jogged round uncomfortably for the next 10 miles before enjoying the 100m sprint to the finish line. Thanks to the Help Desk for helping me to locate my family at the end.

In short: Uninspiring, undulating and NOT a PB course
In full: Just found it very unimaginative, although the water stations were reliably manned and well organised parking, and there were good crowds in places, just felt it lacked that certain something to inspire me to return. The park section was harshly undulating.. I would not recommend to others anyway.

In short: Another pb despite the undulations!
In full: The fast downhill sections offset the many hills! Great running through the university and the park, the only thing putting me off entering next year is the cost, a very expensive but well organised race
