In short: Good all-rounder In full: A great confidence booster for slower runners - I got a pb! On the whole, well organised and no problems with congestion - start and finish point was fine. Great to have a race for which there is easy/free parking. Entry cost is a bit steep, but don't mind if profits go to Help the Aged. Nice T-shirt, and pleased to see that they hadn't run out of small ones, which often happens by the time slower runners get to the finish. Date of review: November 26, 2007

In short: Get a PB and get out. In full: This is a fast course which must be the only reason for the excellent turnout every year. the start and turnaround are improved but this is a pretty depressing run.
I knocked over a minute off my PB but it would be a run I'd be glad to miss in the future. Date of review: November 26, 2007

In short: Improved Start and Turn around In full: Organisation was top notch, including timed pens to keep the walking fundraisers from clogging up the runners. However, Kirkstall Road is not the most scenic in Leeds and although the start is good at the town hall, and the half way point good at the Abbey, the rest leaves a lot to be desired! But if you want a PB course, then then don't get much better than this. Date of review: November 26, 2007

In short: Fast course, dull scenery In full: Smooth start, fast course but not much to look at scenery wise (didn't see much of the Abbey!).Free parking in Leeds a bonus. Date of review: November 26, 2007

In short: PB and sub 40 to boot so can't complain In full: Let's be honest, this can never be described as one of the more scenic races in Yorkshire, Kirkstall Abbey apart. But if you want to do a PB then this has got to be the one. Changing the starting position has helped and I certainly didn't witness the congestion that people have complained about in the past. The one gripe is the results, which are not showing the names of their club for a lot of people. Why is that? Overall though, the race was well organised and marshalled and the atmosphere good so pretty happy. Date of review: November 26, 2007

In short: Ran a PB so good for me! In full: Not the most scenic, however the fast course does make up for it. Great atmosphere at the beginning and end - thanks to all the support! Date of review: November 26, 2007

In short: The course is as dull as dishwater, but it does have PB potential In full: Well organised event, but the only part of the course with any interest has now gone. A straight out and back along Kirkstall Road is not inspiring. With 2K to go you are left hoping for a "shout" at the fire station to break up the monotony. It won't be one of the first races to look for next year, but still might do it. Date of review: November 26, 2007
