In short: Very enjoyable. This was my 1st ever 5 mile race.
In full: I was one of the last to finish. I found it a little confusing as to where I needed to turn to find the 3 mile marker. But other than that, I enjoyed the experience.

In short: Fine organisation for a low-key event
In full: Excellent facilities. Friendly marshalls on a fast course. I'd certainly do it again.

In short: "Special" as in "to the point". Anonymous, matter-of-fact, modest organistaion, sleepy marshals. You turns up and you runs. Where it is extreme is in the vileness of the home team's vest!

In short: Very well organised race with the potential of a good result
In full: I enjoyed this race. It was well organised, the Marshalls were encouraging, and we were treated to a pretty useful goody bag at the end. My only negative comment is related to the course - the scenery was somewhat lacking, especially the stretch that ran alongside the A40! I would do this again next year, for the both the good organisation and to better my time!

In short: Great race, good crowd, well organised, lovely weather too!
In full: First time doing this race, which is criminal considering how close to home it is. Really enjoyed the whole event, and the brand new facilities were impressive (even better once the showers have been commissioned). Generous mixed goody bag at the finish, to which my wife helped herself.
My two sons also took part in the U15s 2k fun run, and loved it. Especially like to thank the lovely lady who ran round with my 5-year old, who was a bit shell-shocked by the whole thing and needed a wee just after the start...
Finally, a big THANKS to Fiona K, the organisers and all the marshalls for the whole thing. Cheers!

In short: pleasant race, scenic and friendly. Pity about the bullying official at the finish line
In full: I did this race with my mum, who was racing for the first time at the age of 62 and was very nervous. It's a pretty fast course, well marshalled and with a mix of very fast runners and beginners. What spoiled it for us was the bulling attitude of one of the finish line officials. After having finished, I took off my number and ran back to find my mum. I was then berated for running through the finish line a second time. I now realise that this wasn't appropriate, but I simply didn't know that at the time. The level of aggression displayed by the official was completely unnecessary. Not a good impression to give someone taking their first steps in the running world.

In short: The main attraction of this race was the good and very friendly organisation. The downside was the poor state of the men's toilet facilities. The marshalls were plentiful and encouraging. The course was very flat, 50/50 mixture of parkland/'burbs.
