In short: What an experience!
In full: What a day! new PB, fab crowds and a magnificent effort by the organisers. Down sides wre the too warm weather (i was one of those needed help after!) and a cock up with the FGFA start time whihc was delayed by 24 secs. This means all FGFA starters have 24 secs added on to their gun time. Not a problem if you work on chip times, but the official UKA rankings work on gun times....

In short: Tough & fantastic - great atmosphere
In full: Crowded but wouldnt have it any other way,it all adds to the carnival atmosphere. Fantastic support from the spectators which helped in the tougher moments. So warm this year, saw lots of people walking. Plenty of drink available on the course - and the showers were very welcome! Heart warming to see those who had collapsed at the final 400m being carried/helped to the finish by others. Baggage collection, tag disposal and goody bag areas ran very smoothly, very well organised. Nice to see Richard Branson handing out the medals.

In short: Loved every minute of it
In full: My first ever marathon and I'm so glad it was London. Amazing atmosphere, support, course, organisation, goody bag medal. Can't praise it enough just a shame about the one size fits all cheapy t-shirt in the goody bag. Still you can't have it all. If you get the chance do this at least once.

In short: Humbling experiance thanks to the supperb support
In full: Excellent all round, but it is the unbelievable support that gets you welling up with emotion, whether youve met your personal targets or not.

There is a saying in football that at Anfield the Kop can suck in a winning goal in the final minutes, well thats what it felt like at the end of the London Marathon, totally knackerred but the throngs of humanity willed you on, they where the 12th man and then some!
