In short: Run this one many times and it's often hot. Earlier start would be better.
In full: Very hot this year, delayed start didn't help. Good crowds at the start/finish. Bottled water would be much better than plastic cups and a goody bag would be nice. Cadets did a great job along the route and carpark was well organised. This is my local race and I'll be back next year.

In short: Hot, hilly and not well organised
In full: What a shame the poorly planned start time, dreadful car parking, lack of toilets and too few drinks stations almost managed to spoil what should be a fantastic event.I did the Windsor triathlon this year and the organisers there did a much better job despite triathlon being 3 sports and right in the centre of Windsor. Please get the organisers to read the feedback.

In short: Tough, hot
In full: Great support from the sidelines. Should have more water stations in that heat and the parking instructions could be a lot clearer. A tough one for my first time!! Would love it if it was earlier but would still do it again. Watch out for the hills...

In short: Nice location, annoying start time, too many mountains!
In full: Delayed start in the blazing sun, the late start time made this even hotter than it needed to be (morning start please), bodies at the side of the road from 8 miles! Took longer to get out of the car park than to complete the race.

In short: Great venue, hot and hilly, start should be earlier and toilets and exit better managed
In full: Having done it twice now in searing heat it is surely time to move the start forward. The course is very hard on those who don't manage the full training quota (like me this year). I got dehydrated - water in cups is hopeless, and too few drinks stations for the heat. Great family day out though, despite the exit shambles which is tough on those aching legs.

In short: Not enough drinks stations and a rubbish medal
In full: Seriously lacks enough drinks stations, especially on a hot day, never mind the rationing of the water that is available. Learnt my lesson last year and avoided the car parking so a lot of aggravation was missed out on (was a much more pleasant experience overall). The cheap looking medal is a bit of a disappointment, especially having seen the womens 8k medal from the day before, which my wife took part in. I could complain about the lack of a goody bag, but it would be a bit churlish since the organisers do say that the entire entry fee goes to charity. Therefore, I would assume that they rely on sponsorship to cover costs. Perhaps they can get a mineral water supplier onboard next year, which would improve the drinks station problem no end.

In short: Awful parking directions and lack signs almost ruined what turned out to be a lovely, but very hot and hilly half

In short: good race
In full: good race but there could (should) of been another drinks station at the 8 mile point.
There is one only reason why the race starts at 1pm and thats down to HRH the Queen (bless her) would like to see the Queen run the windsor Half. Would like to see it less hotter next year please

In short: Great course .... would be even better in the morning
In full: There seems to be general agreement that this race should start earlier. I remember reading in previous years that the organisers prefer an afternoon start so that runners can travel from further afield. But runners can get anywhere for any time if they want to - the London Marathon starts from an odd part of London at 9:45am. Starting earlier would also ease the car parking problems that frustrate so many people. I would really encourage the organisers to canvas the views of of runners and think again about the start time because otherwise this is a fantastic event, blessed with one of the best courses in the UK.
