In short: Don't be put off by the climb - the way down is worth it
In full: Yep, the 1st 3.5 miles are up hill but are followed by a great cruise downhill for the next 3.5; dig in on the way up and enjoy the rest of an altogether enjoyable race. Drivers were largely very considerate on the long A road sections. Pity some of those leaving didn't treat those still coming up the Loseley Park driveway with quite such respect. As pointed out by many before me, a re-jigged finish would solve this. Thank you GGAC.

In short: Big hill in the middle, little one at the end
In full: More toilets required at start. Finish area could be planned better. Good marshalling. The Hogs Back ascent wasn't as bad as I imagined. I still can't belief my pace on the descent. The little climb in the last mile was a killer though!

In short: Nice race, the sum was better than the parts
In full: Enjoyed my first visit to the Hogs back. A bit of a queue for the toilets at the start and a rather subdued atmosphere, but it was very cold. Once the race began, it lived up to it's name and was tough as old boots. Lots of fun and a nice place to finish. Have to agree that it's difficult to get out at the end, but the baggage people were briliant. Not many spectators, but overall a good fun race which is different to most in the area

In short: Challenging but fun
In full: An excellent run with good marshelling. Could be improved by having a well defined control or similar at start and revised finish. As stated in earlier comment, too many people leaving as runners still finishing down narrow road.

In short: Fourth year I've done this race and as well organised as ever.
In full: A nice still morning helped the climb up to the half way point. Lovely drop through Compton and a teasing climb in the last mile make for an interesting course. Definately, injury baring!, back for the 50th running next year.

In short: A good event
In full: About four miles of steady climbing, then a second half that's mostly downhill or flat and fast. Great finishing venue, start venue is very bleak and bare - I reckon a tea wagon would do a good trade. Smoothly organized, very efficient baggage handling, plenty of vocal marshalls, overall a good day out.
