In short: Very good race In full: A friendly, sociable village green type of 10K, in a very good cause. The course is hardly inspiring, but then it is Frimley! That said, it's nice and varied with some inclines (none of them killers) to add some spice. A couple of comments. 1) It's all in densely-populated suburbia so we gents have to use the supplied loos rather than a bush. There were enough portaloos, but only just. You can't have too many. 2)Parts of the course were along the pavements of busy roads, so care is needed in places. But no complaints from me, and I'll be back next year. In short: a very enjoyable run In full: a good run out for me im running a marathon in three weeks so it was nice just to run abit faster than the long runs that ive been doing i was hoping for a sub 40 minute run just over that in 40 mins 20 seconds maybe the hills slowed me down abit a great day hopefully with lots of money raised Date of review: April 5, 2009
In short: very friendly , well organised but where are the rest of the results on the site In full: first race i have done on my own but the atmosphere was so friendly didnt feel uncomfortable at all. good facilites and parking. their results list only goes up to 55min finishers tho, seems a bit mean. would def do again tho Date of review: April 23, 2008
In short: Gets better every year. building nicely from a small low key event to a decent race. In full: Money spent on huge sized T shirt in goody bag would be better donated to charity. Date of review: April 23, 2008
In short: Good cause to run for! In full: Well organised race and all for a good cause. Very good first time race but look forward to the hills, not steep but there seems to be alot. I will be back next year for this one! Date of review: April 21, 2008
In short: Good race In full: Great organisation and effort by FPH and marshal's etc. Def worth doing with a good mix of flat and uphill stretches. Nice goody bag and friendly atmosphere. Date of review: April 21, 2008
In short: Race well suited for beginners, good atmosphere & for an excellent cause In full: A well organised event, very friendly atmosphere, helped by Radio Frimley Park and the stewards/volunteers. Well suited for beginners. A reasonably quick course, with a few short undulations, mainly going through quiet residential streets. Only 3 toilets at the start, but facilities in the hospital were being used by runners. Plenty of parking.
...and it was all for an excellent cause. Good luck raising the money. Date of review: April 20, 2008
