In short: Good to try but not my cup of tea.
In full: This was my 7th half and my first big city one. Its just a personal thing but it was to big for me, the course was fast but I found it hard to get a good pace going because there were so many people. As I said though that is just a personal thing, and I would not suggest to anyone else not to do it. It was a bit expensive, but a you did get a really good goodie bag, medal and t shirt. As for first timers I entered my sister for her first ever race and she loved every min of it. The huge crowd would be a bonus to motivate any first timer.

In short: Great Atmosphere, well organised considering how many people take part.
In full: My first city race and I thoroughly enjoyed it, the crowds kept cheering all the time and gave a great atmosphere. I might wear my name on my shirt next time as there was lots of name shouting by the crowd. I got overtaken by spiderman, a banana and shrek!

In full: Probably still too many people taking part to get a decent crack at a time. Great race though, mini London, bit pricey

In short: One of the better years
In full: Done this a number of times & everytime in the past there seems to have been some organisational mess up!! This year wasn't too bad in comparison except finish area was a bit chaotic. No medium t-shirts left, which is pretty inexcusable given that there are no entries on the day, not all entrants turned up & everyone puts on their form what size they want. lots more loos this year, which was good. good crowd support. lets get more bands on the run, as they really build the atmosphere.
if they could have a more welcoming & less chaotic finish & avoid the mess ups of the past, then this race would really be up there.
