In short: Tough hills, lovely course
In full: The 2 hills are killers, and I am from Yorkshire! I walked the 2nd half of the 2nd hill, hardly lost any ground, no one passed me, and I shot past a few people when I started running again at the top! I also got a PB. I expect this to be a tougher course than I get at London in a few weeks for the marathon, so a very good warm up run for that. Excellent organisation, can highly recommend!!

In short: 2 killer hills but also long downhill stretches in lovely countryside
In full: Good facilities at the stadium where it starts and friendly very well organised race. Nice finishing on the track. Although everyone says it is tough, I got a pb last year and ran my second best time for a half marathon this year - the long down hill sweeps do compensate a little for the hills. Amusing road signs, although being told there was another horrible hill coming up made me almost want to knock the sign over! Very much worth the relatively long journey from York and will try and do it again next year.

In full: Nice friendly run in the coutry with two big hills to test your legs which suited most of the runners I spoke too as we have all entered marathons later in the year.

In short: Super Race!
In full: Excellent weather, excellent organisation, lots of marshalls, technical tee-shirt, and a PB again even with the two hills and sarcastic signs! Put me down for next year!

In short: A Slice of Heaven
In full: Friendly marshalls, excellent organisation and parking etc. Lovely course along canal and over hills. I just wish we didn't have to run past the finish on the first lap of the track at the end- but that's a minor complaint, THIS IS A BRILLIANT RACE!!

In short: Very friendly, supremely well organised and a great goody bag
In full: I don't remember any negative points from last year but somehow this year seemed even better, aided by great weather. I certainly got a buzz from the stadium finish but I think the hills may have been steeper this year!
