In short: My 5th year, and came within 40 secs of beating my PB - even in the rain. Great racing weekend with the Junior & Mini runs on the Saturday.
In full: Great weekend of racing. My kids loved it as they did their races in the sunshine !
Rain put a bit of a damper on things, but crown support as good as ever.

In short: Great flat course for all abilities.
In full: This year the weather wasn't great, but the running still was. You can't beat running with 17999 other people around the historic city of Portsmouth. All abilities, including junior and disabled can take part and lots of money is raised for various charities, alternatively you can just run for yourself if you don't want the hassle of raising funds. Very good atmosphere, organisation and a great day out. What better way to explore a new city too.

In short: Wet and Windy - but great
In full: Brilliant race and great atmosphere - as close as I've come to recreating the Marathon experience since April. And I must have borrowed someone else's legs because I finished 12 minutes faster than expected. Just a shame about the weather but not much anyone could have done about that and you only really noticed it once you'd finished. Would have liked a few more loos on the way round...

In short: A great event
In full: This was my first event after the 5k race for life and I really enjoyed it. Although I didnt run all the way round - opted for run/walk instead, I finished in under the 2 hrs I was hoping for so was pleased with that. A really great event - and I hope to do it again next yr- and run the whole distance!!
