In short: Enjoyed the day, and good a PB.... just a few minor points..
In full: Good race.. BUT.... 'Waves'.. what is all that about!? Marshalls carefully positioned Orage A, B & C, and then at last minute changed the whole plan, and everyone went off together.. Why!? Also, if you came in top 100 last year, why are you placed in the second 'wave'!?.... 'technical' fabric T-shirt please if you pay over £30 to enter. Choc bar in goody bad please.. not breakfast muselli (probably not spelt correctly). BUT... will I be back for more.. probably :-) Thanks to all those who marshalled and supported in the now traditional GSR weather.

In short: I think this may be my last GSR
In full: Once again it was too late in the year with the weather being too unpredictable. the Wave stars are a good idea or would be if they did sort out the the fast from the moderate and the slow runners but there were runners up front who had not intention of trying but were holding back faster runners who wanted to make a race of it.

In short: HMS Victory, Naval Frigates, Spinnaker Tower, Old Portsmouth...Brilliant
In full: Fantastic atmosphere, epic race. Yes it's a bit costly, but £32 for a roads closed run around Portsmouths best sites...dirt cheap.

One criticism - getting out of the car park...again! Get it sorted for next year, one exit until well after the roads were re-opened, not funny!

In short: that was amazing
In full: Now I am a novice at this and this is the longest i have ever ran, but, the atmosphere, although wet, was truely remarkable. The course itself was sooo fast and although my garmin was playing tricks with me and telling me i was running at 6kph I knew it was fast and ended up with an 84 min race time.. Next year I will start up with the whites or even orange though, as the walkers slowed me abit.Today though I am VERY sore

In short: Very nice race, flat and fast
In full: Very nice race, feels like a 'big event' but not so crowded you can't get a PB. Well organised, nice tshirt and medal - worth making a weekend trip to Portsmouth of it if you're far away.

In short: A great, fast race with a lovely atmosphere
In full: This was my first Great South Run and I was very impressed. It was a very fast course, with excellent support. Thanks for the all the music - pipers, drummers, steel bands and swing bands - along the way. I'll be back next year!

In short: I love this run!
In full: A list of thanks: Thanks to Bupa - who know how to organise a mass event, thanks to the people of Prtsmouth who were great supporters all the way round the course in the rain, and to God for not blowing the wind down the esplanade this year!!!! This is the nicest 10 mile run ever!!!!

In short: Very fast course
In full: I ran this instead of the Great North Run, and for me, this race is better, simply because getting in and out of Portsmouth is so much easier by train (not sure why so many people need to drive!). Very well organised, weather was good for running as rain kept people cool and there was no wind. "Goody" bag, was really a bag full of leaflets with a drink and T shirt thrown in, could have done with something edible in it.

Lots of support on course, nice to see bits of Portsmouth Ive never seen before. Course is flat, and made for a pb (wind permitting) ; will defintely be back next year.

In short: It was a fantastic course, although through a few rough areas!!
In full: This is a definate one for anyone wanting to achieve a 10 mile PB. Everyone is very friendly, efficient and there were plenty of loos- I didn't even queue!!

Parking was a bit sketchy due to the location. I parked on the common for £3 which was good but took 2 1/2 hours to get out which was very annoying.
