In short: Nice, scenic course. Organisation struggling with numbers
In full: I've run this more times than I care to remember. It's a lovely course, with a bit of a hill from 7.5-8.5 miles (my Garmin says a climb of 110m in about 1 mile - sorry to mix units). I actually prefer the going-up to the coming-down, the knees struggle a bit.
The first few miles are fairly narrow and with a free-for-all at the start, it's a bit crowded.
Traffic & toilets are a shambles. Not much that can be done about the traffic (Henley is always bad for a small town), but I bet quite a few people started the race from the toilet queue.
Get there early, maybe find a coffee shop in the town and it's a great run.

In short: Getting Bigger
In full: I have run Henley since 2002 and the race has grown every year. It is a fantastic course and well worth the effort but with the 10K & Half sharing facilities then I personally think Henley needs an update. Still no secure Bag store and the toilet facilities are getting stretched in the last 45 mins. As I know the area I dont use the race car park and therefore have no issue, did try the car park one year but it is a long walk and makes it a slow get away at the end. Due to the increased entries there are now a few bottle necks and although I love the race it was better with less entrants. If this keeps growing then other areas will need to be improved but overall, it is well organised with friendly marshalling and well worth the effort.

In short: Good day out
In full: Get there early - I was there 45 minutes before the start and only managed to get to the designated parking 10 minutes before. Traffic into Henley was back to back! The hill just after mile 8 is challenging but if you've done hill training for the run it's a great feeling when you get to the top.

In short: thoroughly enjoyable ....
In full: another great day, perfect running conditions. Mile markers were all about right against my Garmin, and the overall distance was fine too. The hill gets easier every year, and those last 4 miles are fast. Slight issue as ever with "traffic" down the narrow lane miles 1-4, but I've learnt to start further up .. .could do with some suggested times against start position though

In short: Scenic route - but what about the mile marks
In full: Great course. Ran with my Timex and mile marks seem to be off. Also overall lenght according to my device was 13.89 miles. Anyone else with similar experience?

In short: Good race, great scenery!
In full: Got to the car park in good time. Took a while to get parked, then had quite a good walk to the start, which was a good warm up. Unfortunately, even with 25 minutes to go to the start, I nearly missed the start having to queue for the toilets! The start was a bit manic & they could have done with staggering the start. Plenty of marshalls, which was good, but could have done with a bit more encouragement along the way. The medal was good, could have done with a date or year on it. The goody bag was excellent! The scenery was fantastic & perfect running conditions too. I was determined not to be defeated by "the hill", there is approximately 0.3mile which it significantly steepens somewhat, but it's not that bad. For every uphill there is a downhill! Other than that the rest of the course is pretty flat, so great PB potential. I also got a new PB, so I'm dead chuffed!! Hope to be back next year!
