In short: Killer hill! In full: Better, more interesting route than last year despite (or maybe because of?) the killer hill. Well organised and marshalled. Tough for beginners but as it's a charirty event it attracts a wide range of competitors which makes it less intimidating than some of the club events for first timers. Glad to see more loos than last year even though ladies had to walk alot further to them. Date of review: November 2, 2008
In short: PB out of the question, but a good tough race. In full: Much better organised than last year - the new start/finish location is a great improvement. Not sure the climb up Sidbury hill is an improvement, but certainly added a certain zest to the run. Well marshalled by the Army and all in all a good race. One for next year (although some hill training may be in order). Date of review: November 2, 2008
In short: Great run on Salisbury Plain including a nice 1:3 hill at 4K In full: Wow, this was a toughie thanks to being organised brillianly by 1 Mech Bde (that's the Army to those that don't know!). Thoroughly enjojable multi-terrain 10K with the highlight/lowlight (depending on how you felt) being the killer 1:3 hill at 4K - that was fun! Hopefully, this event will grow and grow and thanks for a great challenge. Date of review: November 2, 2008
In short: 3rd time for me... In full: Last years course was good and taxing, this years course was much better....even the damn great hill at 4km, but what goes up must come down!! Great organisation apart from where the start line was...great race, good charity...
