In short: doesn't get any easier with experience but at least you know when the killer hills are coming up In full: this is a fantastic event. I have been lucky enough to run it every year so far and each year I appreciate it more. I defy anybody to run up the killer hill at 12.5 miles, but the downhill swoop to the finish line seems all the better for that. The whole thing is wonderfully organised and while it is a bit pricy it is well worth the money. A truly memorable day.

In short: I love this race, good organisation, great goodies, the forest is glorious. In full: From the second you arrive, you're greeted by smiling marshalls. Once your number is on they call you by your name, shouting encouragement. The race itself is hard, you have to pace the uphill section and hang on for dear life on the downhill ! There's a kick at the end, but the looong downhill open sprint to the finish is great. Everyone cheering you on, even at the back of the field you see some great sprint finishes. If you want a small friendly well organised race, set in beautiful countryside, I can't see you finding one any better than this.

In short: Tough but very friendly race in beautiful surroundings In full: My third time running this race, it was as expertly organised as ever. A challenging out & back route with stunning views at half-way. All runners are very encouraging, even the winner was urging us on as he passed us on the way back from the turning point, which I thought was a great effort!. Friendly marshalls, nice t-shirt and breakfast at the end. Thanks to Dr Rob and the marshals. Date of review: March 9, 2011

In short: Very tough and hilly but fantastic feeling when you finished a real achievement. In full: This was my first Trionium and it certainly was not for the faint hearted. The hills were very tough but the sense of achievement was great once finished. Very friendly race I was at the back and had lots of support from other runners - very encouraging.
