In short: Great race, great view and great fun
In full: The race is great, along a great route with great views and some of the most friendly marshalls ever...every marshall cheered you on.

In short: Challenging and hot but friendly
In full: Much harder than expected and the multi terrain including stairs and running around cows and ruts sapped my legs and recorded a time well below my average road race (which this is not). Marshalls are very friendly and its a nice atmosphere at the end. Not enough loos at the beginning by far which delayed the race and people were running into the bushes! Coach and bag drop is done well. Not really great value for money - had to send a SAE to register, no chip timing and just a bottle of water at the end but nice medal. Not sure I would do it again as prefer road racing. At least I know what multi terrain is now!

In short: Very well organised. Great location. Support at most accessible points along the course.
In full: Really enjoyed the event. Organisation was very good with good sign posting throughout and plenty of marshals and water stations. Only negatives on the organisation could be loos at the start (yes most races suffer the same criticism) and also there was no pack at the end (unless that was the bottle of water and medal).

I got a good time but one thing to be aware of is the path can be a little (actually very) rutted and uneven at points - dread to think how it would be on a wet day?

Would definetly choose to run this or another Purple Patch even again.

In short: Once again a superb race - well done Purple Patch
In full: My third running of this event and despite the heat towards the end I somehow pulled a PB out of the bag :)
Brilliantly organised and marshalled and a definite must-do event for me.

In short: GOOD PB COURSE IF YOU GET THE RIGHT WEATHER. WELL ORGANISED AS USUA;
In full: Third time of running this event and a better start location than 2 years ago. Not enough toilets at the start considering the size of the field but good facilities at the end in Marlow. The course is narrow in places so runners need to judge the overtaking which all that I encounted (passing and being overtaken) worked out well. The weather was good for running until the heat started to effect the field just after halfway (for those around the 2 hour mark) which turned it into a battle to finish rather than a PB potential. However alot cooler than 2 years ago. Great views of the river and the big houses along the route. Final comment is to the people at Purple Patch and the Marshalls for a great event and cheerful marshalling.

In short: Great scenery and challenging patches
In full: Loved every minute of it - beat my PB by 6 mins which was unexpected but route enabled me to run steadily at the aimed for pace :).

Great organisation also and nice atmosphere after the race at the Marlow Rugby grounds - cheering crowd was also uplifting.

Definitely a "do again" race.

In short: A fast course with fabulous scenery, recommended
In full: A well organised event which would have benefitted from more toilets at the start area. I really enjoyed it and it was well worth the trip to take part.

In short: Great scenery, flat run, excellent organisation
In full: My first half marathon and it was a great experience, from the buses to the start, the many water stations, the friendly marshalls, lovely scenery and a big field to picnic in at the finish. Probably not a good run if you are a keen runner looking for a PB as the path is narrow in places and passing might be tricky, but as it was my first one and I started at the back of the pack it's a PB for me.
