In short: A quick course even with the Green Mile!
In full: A very well organised race as usual and a nice goodly bag and t-shirt. Luckily the weather wasn't as bad as predicted but I still managed some comedy skating along the Viking Way. Managed the PB I was hoping for will be back next year.Well done Sleaford Striders!

In short: My second year
In full: It was a little harder this year ,because the weather had been a little harsh shall me say.The viking way was very slippey (as i was one who slipped over, but nothing more than a muddy leg). The marshalls were fantastic, and the t-shirt and goody bag were great, and the cup of tea was just what i needed.

In short: Moderately challenging race but well organised and excellent support from the marshalls
In full: Off-road mile and a half very tough and treacherous in places - few gentle gradiants but no really monster hills. Adequate water stations, generally good organisation but the marshalls cheering made the race, especially as there was no other support on the course. This is 5th year in a row I've done this and I'll be back next year.

In short: Moderately tough half, not particularly scenic and some tricky off-road sections. Excellent organisation and very friendly.
In full: We were unfortunate enough to catch the tailend of a nasty storm that battered France overnight. This made it a cold, damp and windy outing. Consequently the off-road sections, in particular the viking way, which is tricky to negotiate at the best of times, was made even harder going - very muddy, slippy and uneven for a good 1.5 miles - in true cross-country style. Route is mostly road and has a fair few long modest gradients, though nothing seriously tough, but a tad monotonous for my money. Start and finish sections (about half a mile) also on grass, which was a bit slippy. Very friendly, encouraging support and particularly well organized with generous goody bag and t-shirt. Decent parking though limited changing and toilet facilities. Not ideal PB material but would be worth the effort in good weather.

In short: Tough weather to start but overall good varied course
In full: Despite cold wind at start it improved. Mud wasn't that bed - had worse training runs. Hills not to bad apart from last one saying 12 miles - needed it to say 13! Struggled crawl last mile. But was nice to see end in sight.
Excellent marshalls, water & jelly beans - thanks. Only minor point - need more female toilets!
