In short: Painful but weirdly enjoyable!!
In full: This was my first running race and was a brilliant start. It was a clear but really chilly day, so perfect conditions. The hills, deep puddles and "swamps" made it really interesting. I agree the 2 mile stretch is a bit dull in comparison, but it give you the chance to leg it for a bit. Really really good fun if you like a bit of pain (and getting muddy)!! The tshirt at the end was a nice treat too!!

In short: It wasn't so grim
In full: The route was more a cross-country run. The cammo nets seemed like an after-thought. Consideration should be given to a staggered start, which would have eased things at the start.

In short: Icey cold waste deep in mud torture on paths usually frequented by tanks.
In full: Can I sign up for next year yet? Absolute hoot. As long as you don't worry about getting your trainers dirty.

In short: Mud, Water, Mud, Water Mud, Water !!
In full: What an excellent day ! I will definitely be back next year. The water doesn't even feel that cold while you're running. Forget about going for a time and just enjoy it !

In short: Muddy mud mud mud!!
In full: My second year of the grim and it did not disappoint!! better route than last year as no bottle neck 10 minutes in. Course was slightly hillier, but the muddy bits were better... note to self don't wear white, the sand stains!!

Defo be signing up for next year, love it!!

In short: Great race with emphasis on having fun!
In full: I loved it apart from the freezing cold weather, it was fantastic. Great mud and very well martialed, with a T-shirt, but a medal would have been mice too! Great time and a good day out too.
